Create Data with CroArt

Mathematicians at the University of Luxembourg, Hugo Parlier and Bruno Teheux have a fascination for the balance reached by abstract graphic pieces of art, which are often based on the combination of very simple geometric ingredients. Hence the idea of inviting the public to create a piece of abstract art using a tablet. People can draw curves, work with colour combinations or with geometric shapes. Participants can get their own artwork by email, but most importantly the artworks are saved and will eventually become part of an aggregated work of art as part of the crowdsourcing art project. The data derived from these individual images will be sonified by the musicians participating in The Sound of Data artist residency.

The public will be able to discover the outcome on December 3rd, when the musicians will perform their composition on stage at the Rockhal.

Be part of the process and of the project by creating a piece of art at one of the terminals which will be publicly available in different parts of the country:
